Variable-speed disc sander aids precise handling of large workpieces

Grizzly G0967

Grizzly Industrial has unveiled the G0967 variable-speed disc sander for metal sanding.

The machine has a 20-in. disc driven by a 2-HP motor. The unit offers speeds from 500 to 1,800 RPM. The built-in inverter allows it to operate on standard single-phase circuits while maintaining the efficiency and control of three-phase variable speed.

A 12- by 25-in. tilting cast-iron table with X- and Y-miter slots and an included miter gauge helps ensure precise material handling, even with large and heavy workpieces. The machine is equipped with a motor brake for immediate stops and a pedestal-mounted magnetic switch for simplified operation.
