Omco Solar opens second Alabama manufacturing facility
Phoenix-based custom roll former Omco Solar, a manufacturer of steel structures for solar panels, has invested more than $10 million into its second production facility in Huntsville, Ala. The facility opened in March 2024 with 30 full-time workers and will be fully operational by Q3 2024.
The facility houses multiple high-speed manufacturing systems designed to produce the series 7 PV module backrail for First Solar, a solar module manufacturer that is constructing a factory near Omco’s new plant.
